Gaming-games’ top 10 games list encompasses the best games to play in 2022. In our list you can find games for multiple consoles, such as PC, PlayStation, Xbox, mobile. If you’re connected to the gaming world you probably already know about some of the most popular trends in video games right now. In the following list, the games are selected on the certain criteria:

  • How great a game was when it launched
  • How fun it is to still play today
  • How much the game reflects the best in its class.

Many games that left a mark and inspired future developers may not stand the test of time and be all that fun to play right now. Or, quite simply, other games surpassed it.

Video games like online multiplayer shooters are dominant nowadays, which could be frightening for parents. But, the family games are also still popular. That’s why each video game comes with an age and content rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board, making it crucial for parents to educate themselves about these ratings, so they can decide which video games are appropriate for their child.

Video games get a lot of scrutiny, but parents should also keep in mind the other places their kids might be exposed to violence like movies, TV and the Internet. At the end of the day, parents have to make a call when it comes to their kids and violent video games.

10. Fortnite
Fortnite is a third-person shooter from producer Epic Games and you can play the game in two modes. The game mode that everyone is talking about is Battle Royale, a kind of last man standing. In Battle Royale, up to 100 players are dropped on an island. The last one left alive wins: Victory Royale! You can play alone or in teams. These usually consist of three or four people.

Players have to jump out of flying buses without weapons or resources. To force players to look for each other, the playable area is reduced ‘by an oncoming storm’. If you are outside that area, your health will be affected.
You can (partially) decide when you jump out of the ‘Battle Bus’. This way, you can choose for yourself where on the map you want to land. And that’s important, because you will jump out of the bus with only a pickaxe in your pocket. So, you will have to look for weapons and resources right away.

With that pickaxe you can smash trees, walls and metal. This is how you collect resources, which you can then use later in the game to build things yourself, such as walls, floors, stairs or entire fortresses.

Platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and PC.
