If you want to take out a Sim Only subscription, it is useful to know which provider suits you best. We help you on your way in a number of articles. In addition to Sim Only subscriptions from T-Mobile, we also explain everything about Sim Only subscriptions from Youfone and Lyca, for example.
What is T-Mobile Sim Only?
Just like KPN, Vodafone and Tele2, T-Mobile has its own communication network. T-Mobile did not come out as the best mobile provider in the Consumers’ Association test in April 2020 (although the provider was rewarded with an 8.0). How come? T-Mobile scored highest in the following negatives: problems with calling and texting and problems with the internet. You read a lot of negative comments about problems with the internet in particular: T-Mobile has received many reports from users about slow internet.
T-Mobile offers various products and is therefore seen as an all-in-1 provider. The products are divided into the following categories:
- Mobile (everything around your mobile phone traffic)
- At home (TV, internet and landline)
- A combination of Mobile and Home
Below we discuss the various T-Mobile Mobile products.
Which products does T-Mobile Mobile have?
T-Mobile offers prepaid and subscriptions. Subscriptions can again be divided into Sim Only and telephone subscriptions. T-Mobile has different Sim Only subscriptions:
- 1 GB: 120 calling minutes, unlimited text messages, 1 GB internet credit.
- 5 GB: 120 calling minutes, unlimited text messages, 5 GB internet credit
- 10 GB: 120 GB, unlimited text messages
- Unlimited: unlimited GB in NL (subject to fair usage policy), 18 GB IN EU
- Unlimited Plus
T-Mobile offers all these subscriptions for one and two years. Can T mobile Sim Only be canceled monthly? New. A T-Mobile subscription cannot be canceled monthly, but can be adjusted every month – whether you want to adjust it up or down. So, for example, when you took out a Sim Only subscription with T-Mobile, did you opt for a 1GB, but gradually find out that you still like to use the internet more? Then you can adjust your subscription upwards free of charge. You can therefore also adjust your subscription downwards, at no cost.
What happens if your subscription ends after 1 or 2 years (depending on the form you have chosen)? In principle, your subscription will be automatically extended. After the fixed contract period, of 1 or 2 years, your subscription will be converted from a fixed-term contract to an indefinite contract and tacitly renewed every month (for one month). From that moment on, i.e. the moment your fixed contract period is over, you can cancel your subscription every month. You do this by calling 0800 8104 or by canceling your mobile subscription online via our digital cancellation form in your My T-Mobile account.

This means that you will be the first to get access to T-Mobile’s new 5G network. It is good to know that your phone must also be 5G ready, because not every device is suitable for the new network.
When will 5G be available at T-Mobile?
T-Mobile is not yet very clear about this, but previously announced that ‘everything is on track to be the first telecom company to have a nationwide 5G network by 2020’.
